Flora & Curl Product Review

Flora & Curl Product Review
Recently I sent was sent three of probably the loveliest smelling products ever: African Citrus Bloom Superfruit Shampoo, African Citrus Bloom Superfruit Hair Oil and Flower Garden Hair Butter Concentrate. These products are all from the English natural hair care brand, Flora & Curl.

I decided to create this really easy flat twist in the front to jazz up a very basic low puff and used my lovely Flora & Curl Products to achieve the style.

African Citrus Bloom Superfruit Shampoo – The first thing that got me about the shampoo is the fresh citrus aroma, so I just had this feeling that my scalp would be in for a treat. I applied the shampoo to my soaked hair in the shower and started working it in, and found that it’s a very, light low-suds cleanser. My hair felt super clean after I rinsed it off, almost squeaky clean, which came as a surprise seeing it doesn’t contain any harsh ingredients. Key ingredients include aloe, Morrocan Argan oil and sweet almond oil – all ingredients my has loved in varying degrees before, so the shampoo turned out to be super nourishing.

Initially I wanted to do my signature wash and go using all Flora Curl products, but I wasn’t sent their leave-in conditioner, so I decided to give this style a go a few days after I had washed it. I moisturised my hair with a spritz of water and then applied the Flower Garden Hair Butter Concentrate. I wish I could tell you all how much I loved this product! It’s an excellent sealer, made with shea butter and coconut oil as its main ingredients. And it smells like you’re walking in a field of rose petals – for real!  A little goes a long way as its highly concentrated, so make sure you only use a little at a time. It left my hair ridiculously soft. I’m in love.

Lastly I applied the African Citrus Superfruit Hair Oil, which contains grapeseed oil, avocado fruit oil, watermelon seed oil and sweet orange oil. It’s such a lovely oil and because it does’t contain coconut oil, it doesn’t harden now that the temperatures are cooling down. I’ve also been using it as a pre-poo and I couldn’t ask for a better treatment right now. It leaves my hair feeling super soft, right before I’ve even washed it.
Overall, I’m loving these products and can’t wait to try out more in the range. Have you ever tried Flora & Curl? If so, what has your experience been?
